Terms
The service
CoverCurrent helps you keep a list of vendor certificates of insurance, send expiry reminders to the vendor (30, 14, and 7 days before the date on the cert, when we have that date), notify you when a cert is 7 days out, expired, or a replacement lands, and collect a replacement file through a magic link. We do not issue insurance, sell coverage, or tell you whether a certificate is adequate for a job, a lease, or a lender.
Who may use it
You must be using this for a business (property management, contracting, or similar) and have authority to give us your vendor contact list. You are responsible for the accuracy of names, emails, and dates you send us.
Founding price and billing
Founding members pay $49 per month, billed in advance, cancel anytime. “Founding” means the price on this page at the time you subscribe; we may charge later customers more. We will not raise a founding member’s monthly price without notice and a chance to cancel first.
Payment will be processed by Polar (or another processor we name at checkout). Cancel from the billing receipt or by emailing hello@covercurrent.com. Cancellation stops the next charge. It does not refund time already used, except as described on the refund page.
The Notice Guarantee
For 14 days after your first charge, you can request a full refund of that payment if CoverCurrent is not useful. Scheduled vendor notices are sent on the 30, 14, and 7-day marks when we have a date and a working address. In the unlikely event a scheduled notice is not sent, we refund that month only. We do not refund every payment you have ever made because of one missed notice. Details: the Notice Guarantee.
What a notice does not cover
A sent notice is not the same as a vendor acting on it. Email can land in spam. A vendor can ignore the message. A certificate can be wrong, incomplete, or already expired when we receive it. You remain responsible for stop-work decisions, site access, and whether a vendor may work.
Expiry dates come from your spreadsheet and from what you or the vendor provide when they upload a replacement. Always confirm a date against the certificate itself.
Your content and vendor emails
You grant us permission to store vendor data and certificate files and to email the contacts on your list for this purpose only. Do not upload files you have no right to store. Magic links are for the intended vendor; do not publish them.
Acceptable use
Do not use CoverCurrent to spam people who are not your vendors, to break the law, or to probe, disrupt, or overload the service. We may suspend an account that does.
No professional advice
Nothing on the site or in a reminder is legal, insurance, or safety advice. A COI is a snapshot someone sent you. Read it. If you need coverage confirmed, talk to your broker or the carrier.
Availability
We aim to send reminders on the 30 / 14 / 7-day marks. We do not promise uninterrupted uptime, and we are not liable for a missed reminder caused by mail filters, bad addresses, or an outage we did not cause. If we simply fail to run the reminders we promised, see refunds.
Limitation of liability
The service is provided as-is. To the extent the law allows, CoverCurrent is not liable for lost profits, stop-work costs, denied claims, audit findings, or indirect damages, and our total liability for a claim is limited to the subscription fees you paid in the three months before the claim. Some places do not allow these limits; in those places, the limit is the minimum the law requires.
Indemnity
If a vendor or a third party complains because you put their email on the list or because you relied on a cert we stored, you will handle that dispute. We will handle disputes about our own billing and our own failure to send a reminder we accepted payment to send.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without picking a state until the operator has a fixed legal home. If we must use a court, it will be one that has jurisdiction over the operator. If a piece of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top will change. Material changes will also go out by email when we have your address. If you keep using the service after that, the new terms apply. If you do not agree, cancel.
